About Us

Hi, I am Manda, the owner of Desert Doggies Grooming. I have been a groomer for 20 years and have had all kinds of animals throughout my life. I became a groomer when I was 16 years old and have a degree in Animal Science. I have volunteered at shelters, vet hospitals, and zoos. I am also the Cofounder of Furgotten Friends Dog Rescue. I have always dreamed of owning my own salon. I worked in the corporate world for almost 12 years and then two different private salons. I have been an animal lover my entire life and didn’t see myself leaving the industry any time soon as animals are definitely my passion. My dream became a reality when I opened Desert Doggies in the Fall of 2015.

I personally own five Standard Poodles, two Great Danes, a Border Collie mix, a Shepherd Chow mix, a Pomeranian mix and a Chihuahua, along with a cat and a cockatiel (that I have had since I was 13). I love to have fun with my dogs and would love to meet yours too!
